The workshops take place from Monday to Friday at the Landesfalkenhof Hohenwerfen. This course builds on my Basic Workshop . The basic knowledge from this should definitely be available.

Without the basic course or the basic knowledge you already have, you are usually overwhelmed. The fun falls by the wayside and the learning effect is very modest.

The birds of prey sometimes have very high speeds. During the photo session, there is only little time to delve into the depth of the theory.

We have a special place in the Landesfalkenhof for this workshop, where there is an excellent overview and the Tennengebirge mountains form the background as a photographic treat. We are about 15m away from the audience and can conduct our workshop undisturbed.
The coolest birds of prey and probably the best falconers guarantee us a perfect flight show.
 

I did my practice for the falconry test here at the Landesfalkenhof, so I know the birds and their flight curves very well. I also take about 30,000 pictures a year here. This can be very helpful in some situations. I do not take photos myself at this workshop, but focus 100% on your needs.

Course of the workshop:
Before the first photo session we will have about 45 minutes to discuss the camera settings and then we will start with the actual photography.
 

Workshops from April to July 10th:

• There are two photo sessions per workshop

• The first begins at 11:15 a.m. until around 12:00 p.m

• This is followed by a photo discussion of the images from the first photo session and viewing on the laptop.
  Analysis of some images and working out solutions for the second session

• The second photo session starts at 3:15 p.m. to around 4:00 p.m

• Afterwards we will analyze and discuss a few pictures here as well

• Recommended equipment:

• Own SLR camera or system camera, telephoto lens from 400mm for full format cameras, telephoto lens from 200-300mm for MFT cameras and telephoto lenses from 300mm for APSC cameras, if available 1.4 teleconverter, enough memory cards and full batteries.
  Take a drinking bottle and possibly small snacks with you. During the lunch break there is the possibility to eat something.
